New High Mart L.A.

What a fun, mishmash of a space. Peg boards as the wall fixtures for garments, i like it. Bare bulb lighting hanging low, I like it. Nuthin fancy, but so refreshing.

Drool

A beautiful warm interior from Vogue Living. Love the texture of the exposed brick and the ceiling beams, anchored by the deep dark waxed floor boards. Great use of colour punches in decor- amazing art work and good use of furniture to break up the vast warehouse space into living quarters. Done but not over done.

I will own a ceiling to floor bookcase one day. One day. I think also, a cow hide rug is in my future. Hmmm... all I have to do is find a perfect inner city warehouse conversion in my price range... HA!

Tape Art

By Mark Khaisman from lost at e minor. Layers of different couloured sticky tape are applied to a plexiglass backing. A weeks worth of work. Great effect.

Chain reaction

Swedish design students Tove Jansson and Per Emanuelsson have collaborated to create what they called Chain shoes. A concept based on two very opposite ideas; floating and the restriction of being chained down.

Dr Martens' Pop Up London

Pop up store for iconic Dr Martens in Spittalfields London. Packing pallets, industrial yellow, pvc curtains and concrete flooring gives the space a behind the scenes warehouse feel, inline with Dr. Martens credo: "The best form of rebellion is individualism."
