Top 3 By Design

I have the pleasure of working for the inspiring Terri Winter and the whole Top 3 team, merchandising in their Crows Nest and Bondi Junction stores. The range of stock to play with is incredible, with the best of design from Australia and all over the world. Terri is sourcing and researching non-stop and has such a great editing eye. From Melissa, to Alessi, to Missoni, to Geneva and everything in between, Top 3 is a one stop shop and such a great place to find a gift or that little indulgence for yourself.
They also have a great online store here

Currently eyeing off the following:
suck uk light
Stop Hand Bookends
Missoni Throw

Design House Stockholm Cord Lamp

Man Shops Globe

There's a series being shown in the US at the moment which I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON!
Man Shops Globe follows Keith Johnson around the world as he scours for inspiring objects de art, treasures, statement pieces, original craft forms etc etc to collect up and display in Anthropologie's Rockefeller store (oh my god, I want to work for Anthropologie). Last week he was in Australia, guided by stylist Sibella Court.

Check out the preview below and then read about his other adventures here

Etro Madison Ave

Much like quite a few of the shots styled by Irina Graewe from my post here, recent shots from my fav windowgazer at Modelizing show the Etro windows getting a bit fluro... pops of irridescent colour seem to be jumping out at us across fashion and interiors. Lets hope it doesn't errupt into the volcanic proportions we saw a few summers back. I know one national youth retailer I used to work for hates this particular F word due to a heavy buy into the trend that summer... with a heavy markdown of the styles continuing on instore for far too long.

Cut n Paste

It's meditative. It's helping me slow down my life. Aint nuthin like grabbing old magazines, scissors and glue and going for it- cutting and creating. Not saying it's art that's pushing the envelope or worthy of space on a gallery wall, just saying it's a valuable act for me.

Irina Graewe

German interiors editor and stylist Irina Graewe has an impressive portfolio. Such a bold, playful approach to colour and some incredibly punchy set ups.
Career crush. Again.

Cowhide Ruggery

Very soon we will have a new lounge... a very special red velvet modular number that I inherited but has been in storage for a year now. We've had ongoing issues with leaks in the roof and didn't want to risk our mint condition lounge getting ruined. So now with the leaks all gone and the holes all patched, we get our lounge room back, out comes the red velevt and I get to play with the space.

LOVE the warmth and texture that a brown cowhide rugs brings to a room. I think, with some careful layout consideration, I could make the lounge work with a cowhide rug. Eclectic. Keep everything else quite minimal, with art on the white walls and timber floor boards. I also want to buy a new arc lamp (below).

Ikea sells the rugs for under $400, may have to inspect.

Here is the lounge, photographed in it's original home. My baba's front room was the sitting room which no one sat in- all the fun happened in the kitchen. Hence the lounge being in mint condition.

PS. I am teaching Interior Styling next semester, so I imagine my Images folder on my desktop will be flooded with interiors related content. Fun fun fun!
